Company roles

Organizational Units

Organizational units give access to other companies and contain all company users and all invited users. An All Users unit is created by default when a company is created. All newly created company users are by default members of this unit. A company can create additional organizational units, add user to it or remove users from it at any time, but only users from companies the logged in user has access to. For instance, a user who has access only to Company A can add members to the organizational unit from Company A only. For more information on managing organizational units, see Organizational Units.

User Management

Each company registered with Margento Processing System Administration interacts with Margento Processing System Administration through its users.

For more information on handling users in Margento Processing System Administration, see User Profile.

Default Users

When a company is created within Margento Processing System Administration, two users, System and Admin, are created by default:

System user – defines the permission settings as inherited from the company role. If you want to grant or deny permissions for the company, set these permissions for the System user. This user is not used to log into Margento Processing System Administration, only for defining permissions for the company it belongs to.

Admin user – permissions for the System user are directly reflected on this user, which is used to log into Margento Processing System Administration.

User Permissions

The Admin user can create and edit accounts and grant permissions in Margento Processing System Administration for other company users or user groups. Note that only those permissions can be set for users or user groups that are granted to the System or Admin user.

You can assign a user to a group to inherit all the permission settings of the group. Specific settings can then also be applied to this user. The users do not have to be assigned to any group, in which case you can assign specific permissions for a single user.

Group Management

User groups are used order to bind users with the same permission set. Any company registered with Margento Processing System Administration can define its own groups of users, each with its own permission set and user members. This ensures that all users of this group have exactly the same permissions. Settings for each user based on the settings inherited from the group the user belongs to can also be modified as required. These modified settings apply to this user only and do not influence the settings for the group.

For more information on handling groups in Margento Processing System Administration, see Group List.

User Invitations

A company can invite users from other companies registered with Margento Processing System Administration to view details or perform any tasks on the company's behalf.

Sending Invitations

When sending out invitations to other users, the company can set a specific set of permissions these users and a validity date after which access to the company's information is denied. Invitations cannot be modified once created.

Receiving Invitations

Once a company receives invitations, it assigns users to the invitations. The invited company has to grant access to the invited users.

For more information on handling invitations in Margento Processing System Administration, see chapter Invitations.
