The "Terminal" menu provides access to the terminal management of Margento Processing System Administration.

Terminal Management

Transactions in Margento Processing System Administration are processed using Margento terminals. Merchants have full control over the terminals used in their product and/or service delivery. Managing a network of point-of-sale terminals includes basic tasks such as managing terminal data, assigning terminals to Merchants and point of sales. Larger Merchants can have spare terminals and manage them by themselves through the Merchant Self-Care applications.

More advanced features like remote terminal configuration changes, updates and customizations are enabled through Terminal Configuration and save money and improve service quality regardless of the terminal network size. Updates can be downloaded to terminals on demand or during transactions with total control over which terminals will be updated and when. Update progress reports and alerts are available to operators for better control over the terminal network.

Terminal logistics offers tracking of terminal shipments, managing terminals on field and on stock, handling support requests and warranties, managing and ordering spare parts and supplies. It provides the complete history for each terminal offering a control over all terminal activities.

Importing New Terminals

New terminal information cannot be manually added to Margento Processing System Administration. The manufacturer of the terminal provides an xml file with terminal descriptions and the terminal information can be imported into the Margento Processing System Administration interface using this file. Updating Terminal Software

The software and settings used by the Merchant's terminals can be remotely updated using Margento Processing System Administration. New updates can be added and terminals assigned to the update. The terminals are updated on the date specified in the update information. This allows Margento Processing System Administration to remotely fix errors on the terminals and make necessary changes, such as a new receipt print logo, text, display and so on.
